I just got an email from comcast suggesting I download windows sp2 which
supposedly comes with windows security system which in turn appears to have
MacAfee antivirus detection as a component. Is it true that SP2 has an
antivirus program (MacAfee) as a component? Is this something unique to
Comcast? If SP2 has MacAfee build it, than wouldn't it hurt MacAfee's
virusscan sales? Can someone please explain this to me.

There is nothing to explain. No anti-virus software comes with XP's SP 2. I
think some av(s) have the ability to report to SP2's Secuity System that an
av is enabled and running on the computer.
