Actually, Avast is a good product, for freeware. I have it installed on
my daughter's laptop. But, have you *assessed* your needs, or are you
just window shopping? Make your product decisions based on matching your
needs with the right product features.

what's to comment on. They're free, and they're AV products, and like
all AV products, they're only good at detecting what's known. IMO,
however, Avast is a resource hog, and doesn't like playing with other
AVs, even when you don't use the realtime scanner.

So this guy walks into a bar and says "ouch"
Then this other guy sees what happenned to the first guy, and so he
misses the bar.
Then he trips on a crack in the sidewalk, and gets three stitches.
the moral of the story: going to bars can give you a headache, but
passing them by might get you stitches.
