Hi,

What do you recommend as a 'Internet Security' (firewall + anti virus)
as a pack for home solution (Windows) ? (The best if it's freeware
version).

The current best freeware firewall is Comodo Personal Firewall. Google it.

| What about Comodo Antivirus ?
|
| Gmyro

It has problems but it also potential. There are better free anti virus applications that
are suggested such as as AntiVir.

I couple of months ago I asked them the following series of questions...

Q: Is your AV solution ICSA certified ?
ans: Not now

Q: Is the software certified by any industry standard organizations ?
ans: Not now

Q: Do you partner with the Anti Phishing Working Group ?
ans: Not now

Q: Who writes the anti virus Engine and Signature files ?
ans: Comodo employee

Q: How many signatures are in the anti virus library ?
ans: 176983
{ NOTE: this number reflect the dat of the question and has risen since then }

Q: Does this library cover mostly viruses and Trojans or does it also cover non-viral
malware such as adware, spyware, BHOs, etc. ?
ans: It also covers some of non-viral malwares

Q: How often are signatures generated ?
ans: daily

Q: Do you have a virus library encyclopedia for lookup on the effects, distribution,
modifications made and other attributes of a given infector ?
ans: Not now

Q: Is your software just a GUI based application or do you have a command line anti virus
scanner ?
ans: Currently just GUI based

Q: Is your product MAPI or VIM compliant ?
ans: Not now

My first recommendation is that you need to spend some money on a
router, then we can talk about freeware. Most of the programs listed on
my site are free(see below).
