the autoupdate or scan all tasks and i can't add others, everything in
the tasks are greyed out. they work, but i would like to change some
settings. i've never seen this before. sugggestions would be
appreciated. thanks.

Maybe you locked it down during the install?

From the Console: Tools, Unlock User Console (You might need to
remember a password you set up)

Or check Tools, User Interface Options, Password Options to see what
settings are there.

it's not locked down. i set it up without a password and i believe
the lock would keep me out of the console altogether. thanks.

i found it in the install manual. the registry keys it is using are
protected. i have to change the perms and then the config becomes
available.
