Right. But considering the OP's words, "[we] closed that hotmail account, so
hopefully the problem has been solved," I wanted the OP to know that closing
an e-mail account does not clean a machine, if the OP thinks the machine is
infected.
And if indeed the daughter spent a good time on domains of the dot-RU nature,
I would be dollars to donuts she has some form of malware.
