'I keep on getting an e-mail with the subject
"Love Nest Is Temp Out". It suggests that I have been trying to get in
touch. Also I am getting the same message with a message that the ISP
will keep trying to connect to address that sent the message.

Hope that makes sense.

I have disinfected the system, checker up to dat and all that.

What needed disinfecting? Did your AV alert you to some form of malware?

I had this message appear in various forms. That included some
comments from the ISP to the effect that they would continue to try to
deliver the message . The latter comment was sent several times.

I am up to date with my virus definitions and I scan very regularly.

That is all I can say, it seems very strange. It is probaly some very
irritating sort of spam thing.
