Post subject: virus found by free AVG antivirus

I'm trying AVG free antivirus it found a virus named downloader stubby.A. It
says it got rid of it but the resident shield still shows its still there.
AVG won't give support on the're free software. Has anyone heard of this
virus? and can anyone tell me how to get rid of it.
