old version of PC-Cillin 2000

Hi to everybody! I had an old version of PC-Cillin 2000, found on a CD
enclosed to some magazine I bought a couple of years ago. It worked well and
it was completely free. Recently (some months ago) I was forced to reinstall
an older configuration of my PC with Win98 and since then my PC-Cillin has
been refusing to update. I think the problem could be caused by the fact
that in the meantime PC-Cillin changed its engine and my older version
(reinstalled on my PC) is not able anymore to update itself. Is there anyway
to fix the problem or I have to say goodbye forever to my dear old
antivirus?

You should say "goodbye", anyway. Cause it's *too* old.
