Post subject: F-Prot vs user's access level
Archived from groups: alt>comp>anti-virus (more info?)

Hello...

It seems that F-Prot requires at least "Standard user"
(Power Users Group) level of access in order to update
successfully. It appears F-Prot updates requires full
control over the install folder, plus access to the registry

I'd prefer not to have all users' have this high access
level. I can share the FSI folder giving everyone full
control in order to overcome the first limitation, but
still F-Prot updates will fail due to lack of access to the
registry.

Any suggestions on allowing low level access users to
update F-Prot?

Thx,
D.
