My PC had some problems, e.g. failed a checkit memory test, slow
operation, etc. It was still under the Gateway warranty so I took it
to Geeksquad. Thge dagnosed a trojan-phisher-sabanks infection. A
web search for this yields ony a few hits in Spanish. Any ideas out
there? This trojan does not show on the other spyware/antivirus
programs I've run.

The hits are in Portugese. Did you look at the item on First National Bank
pishing?

Did you ask 'Geeksquad' how they identified the trojan? And how to protect
yourself in the future?

Did you click on a link in an email purporting to be from FNB? Did you then
go to a website purporting to be from FNB? Did you enter information? Do
you think your system is now clean? The symptoms you report do not seem to
be indicative of this type of pishing.

Do you have an always active up-to-date definitions antivirus program
installed?

Was the trojan removed? If so, why could an anti-malware program detect it?
