Post subject: Question about trial version of PC-Cillin
Archived from groups: alt>comp>anti-virus (more info?)

Hi,

I'm currently trying out the trial version of PC-Cillin (Internet
Security, version 11.20).

I've found that the checking of outbound mails is incredibly slow -
it's gone from emails leaving my outbox pretty much instantly to
taking about a minute or more. I'm using Outlook, and connect to a
local SMTP server.

My question is this: Does anyone know if this is fixable? Or does
anyone know if this is just a "feature" of the trial version that will
be resolved by upgrading to the full registered version?

Another minor question is that I seem to have to reboot when I update
manually - again, is that something only in the trial version?

Thanks for any response,

Joe.

I use the same software and do not have this problem. Make sure all traces
of previous firewall and antivirus software are totally removed from your
system prior to installing a newer product as conflicts can occur. TMIS
runs fast. not a resource hog, and easy to configure to your needs.
