Post subject: trend micro / house call
Archived from groups: alt>comp>anti-virus (more info?)
When running trendmicros house call after so many minutes
I get a message that IE had an error and needs to restart.
Has this happened to others?

.... this probably is not related but a few days ago I tried running Trend
Micros Housecall and my PC stalled - a few hours later I ran Ad-aware after
downloading a new reference file - it found 108 pieces of spyware on my
machine! Been running Ad-aware for months with the latest reference files
and it found nothing all that time but then suddenly out-of-the-blue it
found all those. The last few days the only thing I have
run/installed/downloaded out-of-the-ordinary has been Housecall and
TurboTax. Either something ain't kosher with those two or Ad-aware suddenly
fixed a problem with their reference files and or search engine. And yes I
have all the latest Micr$oft security updates installed.
