Archived from groups: alt>comp>virus (more info?)

I'm running win98se my system keeps rebooting. I completly redid the hard
drive. ran a zerofill, fdisk/mbr, fdisk, sameproblem, but warning popsup
somthing trying to alter boot sector. had to replace the main board just to
get up and running. can something still be hidden on my hard drive? every
time at boot the system comes up saying something is trying to alter my boot
sector. press Y to allow, or any other key to refuse. I have not allowed it
to alter the boot sector. afraid it will ruin the mainboard
again.........HELP
