Post subject: Spybot - system hangs when creating Restore
Archived from groups: alt>comp>virus (more info?)
I have Spybot 1.3 with the 131tx update. When I run spybot and request it
to fix the problems found it tries to create a restore point. The window
says it will close after this operation but never does. Has anyone else
found this?

Yes.

Switch to advanced mode, turn off the option to create a restore point.

Also be aware that you dont wont 'system restore points' full of spyware.

Turn off the OS'es System restore at least until after the system is clean.

If you turn on betas in the setup and update they have a 1.4b2 out that
might fix your problems.

Spybot Help - I installed spybot and ran it with no problems. When I try to remove the infected files I get several errors saying files are missing from Spybot. I've reinstalled, re-down loaded with no luck. Any help is appreciated. Thanks Mark
