symnantec worm removal tool

has anyone been able to run the worm removal tool succesfully ? I am
having a problem with the tool stopping the scan on the icwdial.ch file
in the i386 folder and the Windows Error Reporting Tool popping up and
telling me there is an error in appcompat.txt file in the
documents~1\owner\locals~1\temp\wer7.tmp.dir00\ folder but when I look
for the wer7 folder with Windows Explorer it is not there. I have run
the blaster worm removal tool and the sobig removal tool and I get the
same thing happening when I run both...

can you shed some light on this please? Yes I am running the XP home
edition .
