My subscription to NAV was about it and it was bombarding me with renewal
notices. I deleted it and installed CA Security Suite.
Immediately my machine slowed way way down, the HD light was on almost
constantly, and when I shut the computer down it said it couldn't close
sunkist.notifyicondata.hwnd.
I ran a variety of programs, but nothing worked.
I deleted CASS and installed McAfee.
I am fine now; speed is back to normal and no error messages on closing.
A websearch comes up with nothing. What the heck is sunkist?

In a post lower down someone recommended trying about a dozen computer help
forums. how about recommending 1?

thanks

I take it that you meant to say that NAV subscription was about to
end.

What version of NAV?

Are you aware that if you un-install and remove all traces of NAV that
you will probably be able to re-install it and re-activate it's 1-year
subscription?

Are you aware that even the older versions of NAV like 2001 and 2002
(which are NOT bloated and slow like the newer versions) will update
themselves with the most recent scan engines and definition files?

Are you also aware that AV software these days is mostly useless,
because they do a poor job at detecting the viruses that morph on a
regular basis (polymorphic or "fast flux") and none of them do a good
job at removal.

I already did searches on it. None of those say anything useful.
