how "necessary" further are the above mentioned programs when using
todays "all in one" protections as Kaspersky Internet Security 6.0,
BitDefender Internet Security 9.0 etc.?

I'd say it depends on your ability to practice Safe Hex. <g>

I run the two "above mentioned programs" [1] maybe twice a month and
they never find anything. I know others who run them daily and they
*always* find bad stuff.

If one *needs* them, one is doing something wrong.

[1] It would be nice if you wrote your query in the body of the message,
as well as picking a good subject line.

Peter:

For ther same reason I include four different AV vendor scanners in the Multi AV Scanning
Tool.

One may catch what another may miss.
