Every so often this "search page" appears when I open IE. I can't close it,
and I have to do a Ctrl+Alt+Del to get rid of it. I've run a complete scan
on the computer but no viruses appear.

I don't think this thing is a threat, just a nuisance, and I can't figure
out where it's coming from.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Thanks for all the help. I'm sure one of these suggestions will help, and
that Web site had some great info on it. The page in question is obviously
timed, as it doesn't popup everytime I open IE..

Good.........what did the Spyforum say about what you sent them. Any
evidence of a hijacker? I had somehow gotten rid of the active part of
mine before sending the results in.......but there were signs of it both
in that and in Spybot......it *nailed* the Registry changes.

Cheers......Heather
