I ahev Trend PCcillin antivirus. Apparently me "membership" has
expired. Is this a polite way of telling me I need a new licence? Is
Pccillin licensed annually? i though I'd bought it.

You have bought the right to use it, however if you want continuing
updates you need to renew (annually). PCC2000 was sold with 'lifetime
support' (which nobody got as far as I can tell) but all versions since
then have been a-year-at-a-time jobs.

PCcillin is one of those things originally sold with that lifetime
support and I used it for some years without having to re-license.
But with PCcillin's latest bit of gentle fraud, I switched to another
antivirus appliction and now I'm glad I changed to a superior product.

I find that some applications that were originally sold with lifetime
support still function and update.
