I have documentation that v4.5.1 SP2 was to be released at the end of '03 to the beginning
of '04.

Was SP2 released ?

Dave

There are numerous hotfixes for SP1 already - seeing SP2 looks like it
won't get released then they won't be merged into a single SP. Hotfixes
(recently renamed to patches) are released quite a bit for various
issues seen in the field.

You may already know this, but search for the techdoc NAI10000 at
mysupport.nai.com (no login required) to see some of the published
hotfixes for SP1. Your issue may already be patched.

Mal:
The following *may* address my issues. Now if I can only get them to try them out....

NAI29007: "HotFix 40 for VirusScan 4.5.1 SP1"
NAI29008: "HotFix 42 for VirusScan 4.5.1 SP1"

Dave

David if those "fixs" no joy can you post what the issue is and I will ask.

General feeling from the mods at the mcafee forums is sp1 is it for 4.5.1.
