AVG has found and quarantied the following:

A0004104.exe
dllhost.exe

Are these in fact a virus?

I have just finished reformatting and re-installing WIN XP.

DLLhost.exe is an indication that you have the MSBlast or Welchia worm
on your system.
Did you do the install with the computer connected to a broadband
modem, or did you log onto the internet without first installing AVG
or turning on the XP firewall.

Yes I reinstalled with the computer connected to broadband, sounds like
that is a no no. First thing I did after reinstalling was to download
and install AVG and Zone Alarm and then all the Windows Updates.
