AdAware won't update - Hi all. This is the second time I had this, but don't exactly know what it is. One of my client's machines would run the internet based AV scanners, which would detect and remove various but when I tried to run..

Archived from groups: alt>comp>anti-virus (more info?)
Latest version of Adware, updated definitions, Win 98SE machine. Neither
the complete nor the smart system scan will finish. It will hang up during
conditional scan. I've left it running for 24+ hours, but it will not
finish. And when I cancel, I am not giving the option of deleting the found
items.

Any ideas?

Have you tried running it while in safe mode?
