Post subject: eTrust EZ Antivirus problem

I recently reformatted my C: drive just to get it cleaned up. I've now got
everything reinstalled, but one peculiar issue has arisen.

My eTrust EZ Antivirus is not scanning my email even though I appear to have
the settings correct. I checked the eTrust web site referred me to my ISP
(RoadRunner). Tech support at Road Runner checked my settings and had me do
a reboot. They eventually determined that I have a virus and advised me to
do a scan. The eTrust scan found nothing, the virus scan at PC Pitstop
turned up nothing and I couldn't get the Trend online scan to run.

I did an Uninstall/Reinstall but this did not help.

The icon in my system tray has a red X and a hover over the icon says,
"Real-time: ON Email: OFF".

In the Protection Status window there are green checks by Real-time and
Virus Signature Updates and a red X by Email Protection.

In Scan Settings, all boxes are checked including those pertaining to email
scanning.

Has anybody else experienced this problem? Any ideas on what is wrong?
