Hi all,

I am using free AVG 6 on my home PC. I had enabled email scanner and
now want to disable it, but find no option to make it disabled. can
anyone suggest how to do this? the reason for disabling it is that my
email port settings have some problems when AVG is installed.

regards

Sohail

Right click the AVG icon in the tray (by the clock).
Choose "Run AVG Control Center"
Click the "E-mail Scanner" tab in Control Center.
Uncheck all boxes.
Click "Apply" or "OK".

---------------
thanks for the idea but I 've tried that as well. disabled all
incoming /outgoing massage scans plus outlook plugin as well, but the
main window shows "email scanner status functional"... like stuff.
have you checked that on ur PC. I'm on win98.

even after uninstalling and installing again, email scanner still
showing status as Functional.

Any other idea?
