One of my users has a problem with VirusScan resetting the time
of the scheduled daily full scan every time he reboots - to the
time set in the installer I built using autoupdate architect.
Last time I built it I carefully made sure users were allowed
to change the time, but I think he may have a file somewhere
left over from the previous incarnation.
Can I find anything about it on the McAfee forums or elsewhere
on the web? No!
Any ideas?
XP+SP2, btw.

I have come across this problem in McAfee Enterprise, this is was my
solution
Delete the scheduled task from the console
Restart the computer
Recreate the desired task in the console

Hope this helps

I have no other solution

Regards

Mike

We fixed it in the end by using the standard installer instead
of the one created with installation designer. This particular
user is savvy enough to do the rest of the config himself.

Will give your idea a try next time it happens: it's a minor
variation of things we've already tried, but with the re-boot
in a more likely place to have an effect.

In my original post I said "autoupdate architect" when of
course I actually meant "installation designer".
