I downloaded the program SPYBOT and now after I ran it once, there are
several files it asks me to delete as they could be
damaging.............These are all Register files............. Can I trust
them that far?

an opinion would be much appreciated.....

Thank you in advance

SpyBot is fine. You can trust it.

I have used SpyBot for over a year now. From time to time SB will find
register files containing Spyware and other bad stuff. My opinion? Go ahead
and delete the files. I have done so several times, and my system has not
been affected by that. On the other hand, if you doubleclick on the register
entry files that SpyBot has found, the program will often tell you a bit
more about the file. And BTW: SpyBot has a recovery function. If you delete
something that makes your system unstable, or certain programs won't
start/work, click on the Recovery button, and you can undo changes.

Hi Hans

I just downloaded and used the other day - it found so much rubbish on my
system including in registry files - I took a deep breath and deleted all
the 'red' entries. Result - my system is running much faster and all the
horrible gremlins have gone - can't praise Spybot highly enough:-)
