So, my trial period for NOD32 is finally up.
Am I impressed? quite frankly yes and no.
Sure, it caught a few things but with my previous pritection, I didn't
suffer any attacks.
My system seems faster with it enabled and I don't get internet connectivity
problems.
At 25 Euros/machine, it would cost quite a bit to get protection for all 3
of my machines - especially when two of them aren't used for making money.
Particular gripes really concern the way that the reporting doesn't state
whether exploit.can.2003-0533 was cleaned/quarantined or deleted... left me
feeling naked there for a while - especially as it didn't report/display any
warnings,
Still, I quite like it. It's a tad complicated to set up all the profiles
for deep scanning of all files but there are some reassuring options there.
I think I'm best off buying a single 2 year license for my main machine
which I really need paid for protection on and using avg on my hobby
machines.
Your thoughts gents?

If you're a complete honest Joe, then you can put it on on machine and be
done with it. On the other hand, you can............... do that too. Smile

Doesn't Norton allow one to install on two machines with a single licensed
version? Eset could do the same.

I have problem to scan some archiver file ex. rar and cab with
special compress option. Maybe RAR has many versions.

It couldn't extract them .

Do you have some kind of beta version? Normal version does not scan
inside rar-files?

It does scan inside RAR files, but some RAR files it couldn't extract
them..

I known that RAR has many versions and compression schemes.
