Hi' everyone,
I have been using Norton Internet Security and the 3 months trial that came
with my computer is about to expire. Could someone advise me which is the
best free one, I've heard of AntiVir does anyone know if this is a good one,
Many thanks, Juanita.

AVG is OK. But NOD32 and Kaspersky (not free) have better detection rates.
Only McAfee has as much of a load on the system as Norton.

Very good, maybe best of the free ones. Avast and AVG are also widely
used free ones.

You should use the official site: http://www.kaspersky.com/
I don't know if the mentioned site is legit or not, but one thing is
sure: they are registered by different people at different registrars!

Try AntiVir http://www.free-av.com/ current best
AVAST http://www.avast.com/eng/programs.html second best
or AVG

AOL has one with a kaspersky engine...but I don't recommend it because I
haven't been able to test it. Reviews are good.

I tried to install it so I could test it, but as it almost finished it's
installation, it rolled back and didn't install with some error. I install
hundreds of programs a month and rarely have issues. I sent an email to
them, but have not as yet received a reply. By me not recommending them is
in no way a put down at all, as reviews are very gracious about it. I just
don't have enough personal information in order to make the recommendation.

Prior to it's release, the top 3 anti-virus programs were, in order of best
to least are AntiVir, AVAST, and AVG. AOL's AVS on respected reviews I've
seen put it above AntiVir.
