I used to use avg anti virus and used to swear by them but I am sick of
problems of late with the resident shield not loading. (Uninstalled it and
Re-installed the latest build loads of times, even removing user settings to
be sure, but still can't fix it).
I tried kasperspy but it said it was incompatible with zone alarm, didn't
want to lose my firewall so now using Avast.
Did I make a wise choice? Bear in mind I'm using zonealarm and spybot search
and destroy, ad aware, ccleaner, and avg anti-spyware, and spydoctor that i
de-activated for now. >> Stay informed about: best free anti-virus is Avast? compatible with zonealarm |

I have been pretty happy with the Avast free. I have tried Avira, AVG.
Commodo, and now Avast and I like it best >> Stay informed about: best free anti-virus is Avast? compatible with zonealarm |

I like avast. Use it myself, and install it for all my friends. None
of them have gotten a virus (but lots of them have gotten warnings).
Also I like the feature that it can alert my by mail when it detects
anything (wish it could send a mail when the registration should be
renewed as well, since that is the biggest problem for my friends

I have seen Avast missing real viruses and on the hand issuing some
false positives.
I don't recommend Avast at all. >> Stay informed about: best free anti-virus is Avast? compatible with zonealarm |
