I have an XP Pro box which makes a strange clucking sound when I click
on folders or move around in Windows Explorer. I suppose it could be
mistaken for a solitary water drip.
I get the sound when I click on a folder icon that is not expanded. I
don't get it when I either click on the icon a second time to collapse
the expanded view, or if I use the +/- signs to update thew views.
I don't remember setting it, and have already checked with Trend and
Symantec for viruses, with no positive results. Just another weird thing
to learn to live with

What's funny is how often people neglect to mention the
disenfrachisement of the absentee military vote in Florida (which
usually favors Republicans). Personally, however, I think that this
thread is beginning to go a little OT now, now that the can of worms
concering the 2000 election has been reopenned. For this, I suggest we
start a new group: alt.comp.virus/politics.

What's relevance got to do with it these days? There I was thinking we
were discussing strange noises coming from a computer that _could_ be
evidence of a virus, or _could_ be the increasingly bizarre behaviour of
mike o'soft's products.
But, Florida, politics, hmm, you could just be right.
Julie McCann Home, the unexplained noises you and I are hearing in our
computers is the sounds of thousands of displaced chads from the florida
elections coming back to haunt us.
But why me? I didn't vote for him. I don't even live in the USA?
No, I'll stick with Windows habit of stuffing default sounds into
strange places. That, or you'ge got WetWare running in the background

Sorry about that, was supposed to be a response to another thread. I
must have had one beer too many when writing this response, such that I
wasn't paying attention to what thread was being responded to.
