Post subject: Virus software should give you a chance to delete temp files
Archived from groups: alt>comp>virus (more info?)

I never remember to do this until I am watching the progress of a virus
scan while it is scanning those directories.

Are temp files (for web browsing) even needed any more?

Weren't they a solution for when dial-up access was the norm, and web
pages used much simpler htm code vs today's more complex structure?

Maybe it's better to just turn the temp file thing off completely.
