Post subject: Trojan Horse...NAV Can't Fix!
Archived from groups: alt>comp>virus (more info?)

A week ago, Norton found a "trojan horse" virus on my machine(stand
alone desktop). The two files affected are "notepad.exe" and
"wmplayer.exe". NAV cannot repair the files, and they have been placed
in quarantine. NAV only lists the virus as a trojan horse, no other
information is given. I have all the latest updates for Norton Internet
security, which includes the Anti virus software...Version 10.0.1.13 I
have attempted to repair the files with no success using Norton Antivirus.

I have attempted to submit the files to Norton for review, but each time
the submission fails to connect to Norton.

Anyone have any suggestions on...

1. getting the files repaired so I can use NotePad, and Media player again?
2. how to fix the problem with NAV and gain the ability to submit the
files to Norton?
3. how to find out which virus has infected these two files?

Thank you.
