Hi:

I want to know the AV programs that can scan inside multi-part RAR and
Zip files (or ace, for that matter) -- any files which have been
partitioned into multiple parts. Recursivelydown to 10-20 levels, if
need be,

So far it seems Kaspersky and BitDefender do this, as well as NOD32.
But they don't handle all archive and packing programs.

What is the current state of knowledge about this functionality among
AV programs? Are there any current comparisons floating around on
this particular aspect?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Probable all but not all handle all archive file types.

Just make sure you enable scan with archive files.
