It's rather quikier than that actually.
I'm running the exact same versions of Mozilla 1.7.2 on a W98se PC, and an
ZP. Installed using the same installer, each contains MOZZ.DLL, both files
appear identical after examination with an hex editor, but the new AdAware
alerts only on the W98se machine. Work that one out!
I'm just telling AdAware to ignore it.
False alerts seem to be common at present. Spybot certainly isn't free of
them, and neither is Antivir, and I've proved, to my own satisfaction at
least, that the things upon which they are alerting here are quite
harmless, sometimes essential.
It just proves, yet again, that it's unsafe to plunge ahead and accept any
alert without some kind of second opinion, or at the least some careful
thought.
Finally, the supposed detection of ADS in this new AdAware seems to be
completely ineffective. I've tested that also, and compared it with Tds-3.
No competition.
