I just updated my AVG database, and it picked up a back door Ap trojan.
Details are: C:\Windows\system32\XUDERSD.exe.
When I try to remove it to quarantine, a message says the file cannot be
removed.

I checked it with V.3.5 of The Cleaner, which doesn't pick it up at all.

Anybody heard of this one, and how can I get rid of it?

Thanks

generally there is a reason for this, however we can't tell you how to
rectify the problem because you haven't told us the reason the file
cannot be removed... what is the exact message avg gives you when you
try to quarantine it?

That's all it says - "The file C:Windows\system32\XUDERSD.exe cannot be
removed".

When I try and delete it via Windows explorer, it tells me it's being used
by another program. There's also XUDERSD.dll right next to it.

The full name of this is given as Trojan Horse Backdoor.Apdoor.

Thanks

'in use' for a program generally means that it's currently running...
have you tried scanning from safe mode?
