If you could only have one which would you use?
I have used Norton & Spybot for years, which both seem effective.
Recently my ISP began to offer free subscriptions to McAfee. The
problem is that when I tried to install McAfee it told me I had to
uninstall Norton and also Spybot.
Any opinions as to what to use or suggestions how to use all of them? >> Stay informed about: Opinions Please - Norton or McAfee ? |

Neither.
Search Google for: bloated anti-virus applications

I can't see why it would tell you to uninstall SpybotS&D, but Norton?
Probably a good idea, as both McAfee and (Symantec) Norton are terribly
intrusive. Both are also extremely hard to get rid of. And expensive.

Never have more than one a-v app running at the same time. Any brand.

The choice between these two is simple. It is Nod32.

Yes, it's an option, but so is Kaspersky.
Isn't Avira Anti now using the Kaspersky scan engine? >> Stay informed about: Opinions Please - Norton or McAfee ? |

I wouldn't use the retail versions of either. The enterprise version of
McAfee is OK, and works quite happily with SpyBot.

Not a bad choice.
