What is this? SEARCH does not find it, but NOD32 does .

C:\System Volume
Information\_restore{106CF321-99A3-4E3A-9103-1BD027606A99}\RP2\A0001142.exe
»WISE »w6Setp.EXE - a variant of Win32/AdInstaller application

Use the Advanced Search functions, search System, Hidden, and Sub-folders.

These are hidden files.
In Windows Explorer, click the tools tab. Then click the folder options
tab. Then click the view tab. Finally, uncheck the box labeled "hide
system and protected files". Click Apply, then go back to the main Windows
Explorer view. You should be able to see the folder.

The following is the WinXP System Restore Cache...
C:\System Volume Information\_restore

Files can be found in the cache but not removed by anti virus software. In the cache the
fil(e) are safe as long as you don't resore the system from a previously created restore
point as the files will eventually cache-out.

If you expect to use the system Restore capability you should dump the cache by disabling
the System Restore cache and then reboot the PC. Then re-enable the cache and manually
create a Restore point.
