| I've read that NOD32 update files are very small - around 25K or so. I'm
using the trial version for WinXP, and every time I update the defs it's
around 1.5MB. I tried uninstalling & reinstalling and that didn't help.
Thanks!
Tom

That was about a stupid answer. AS a matter of fact, it wasn't an answer, it
was a stupid smart a**ed response, absolutely no help at all.

Maybe I will, if I can be assured that the updates are not going to be 1.5MB
per day!! I'm willing to pay for AV software, otherwise I'd just use AVG.
I'm not willing, however, to have Symantec shove DRM down my throat. >> Stay informed about: NOD32 update files |

Actually it w a s the answer. The trial version downloads the full
update package each time. Retail version uses smaller packages.

If that was the answer, then my apologies, but it was kind of a curt answer.

Purchased and installed the commercial version, and it works great.
Update was around 10K, after the first upate.
Scanning times are also pretty good. Thanks to all for the help.
