No....I have no problems with AVG6 scanning my e-mails, as I don't use it.
I did at first, but, I had a problem with accessing my e-mails, and I went
to the ng below and the MS MVP experts there explained that the types of
problems common to using the e-mail scanning features vary, one of which is
corrupting the Identities, and loss of e-mails, corruption of the address
book, problems receiving or sending e-mails, etc. Since it in fact
provides no additional protection I no longer use it. I've had no further
problems with my e-mails, I still have AV protection, and have yet to get a
virus.
Additionally, this does not only apply to IE or OE.
