There are many settings you can make as to when it runs. Have a look.
Also try the Help file - lots of good information.

Avenue A is a tracking cookie. You can choose to ignore it and a
myriad of other things, in the settings.

No, I don't have any problem with Spybot, but then I haven't tried to
download MSN Messenger (which will never see my machine <g>).
