Again the Kaspersky... many of you suggest it in many threads of this
newsgroup.

Well, I tried it and it didn't find some viruses that I found later
with another antivirus.

Why Kaspersky... Because you want a light program?

Bit Defender is lighter and still working.

Kaspersky has compatibility conflicts and other annoyances, though it
gets much higher user ratings than the best-selling McAfee and Norton.

Why?

McAfee and Norton are still the best selling everywhere in the world.

Why?

Which system builders bundle these products on their machines? This is
why they are the best selling. Joe Newbie buys a machine and sees
either product installed, and at the end of 90 days, pays to keep it
going. Sales of the product has absolutely nothing to do with
effectiveness of said product. It's all marketing, and most people
don't know any better.

The people in this group try to make a small difference by steering
people away from those 2 products. I do my small part by removing them
from as many computers as I can, and replace them with much better
products.

I agree. Most people have never heard of Kaspersky or Nod32 but have
head of Norton and McAfee for the reasons you give. Just try to get any
sort of meaningful support from Symantec or McAfee within a time frame
of days! Can't speak for Nod32, but in the case of Kaspersky, they are
quick to respond and the forum is fantastic - knowledgeable users and
Kaspersky employees alike make sure that you will get a rapid and
helpful response to any query - by rapid I mean within minutes, usually.
I don't work for Kaspersky and I have used many of the various AV
products (apart from Nod32). Go for Kaspersky, you won't regret it.
