Help..Norton will not install

I would like to put a question to this group.

Why do people still use Norton Anti-Virus?

Human instinct, curiosity killed the cat. Besides, if they didn't
alt.comp.virus may aswell close down, of course automatic network worms
may still save it....

I've solved almost all problems like this by doing a search on the Symantec
web site using whatever error messages you are getting. Just went through
one today, and we had to jump through a lot of hoops to get the initial
install cleaned up before we could try another install.

I dumped Norton in December. tryed several free packages (AVG and Avast)
they both worked but I wound up installing EZARMOUR (Its still free for one
year on there website). Its worked fine, updates almost daily, includes
version of Zone Alarm firewall. Few questions I had were answered in hours
by email approach. Did not try phone support. Best of all it runs, norton
destroyed several of my device drivers after an update install. That was
2001. My wife still uses 2003 but its had it share of problems. and there
support is none existant unless you want to pay them for problems in their
new products.
