I've used the Google search bar for yonks but now when I do a search all I
get is links to porn sites!!!
I have Ad-Aware pro and Grisoft running so any suggestions are welcome..

I'm not sure what you are searching for but google always gets me the most
relavant info.
If you are searching for terms that may have 2 meanings you can always use
"Google's SafeSearch" for filtering under preferences.

It could be what's called a webpage hijacker. If you know what you are doing
download a little file called Hijack This! from the Internet and run it and
see if there are any unsavoury browser hijackers on your system. Use it
carefully and don't delete anything you are not sure of.

Try Spybot Search and Destroy version 1.3 as well to see if that comes up
with anything.

I have Spybot running and it gives me the all clear!! something has altered
the Google bar!! if I type in say (review of Rainmaker film) all I get is
links to porn sites!!
I deleted the Google bar then reinstalled but still the same!!
Help!!!

A hijacking entry may have been placed into your HOSTS file that redirects
the google domain over to the porn site. I'm not sure of the most efficient
method to check and/or correct this. Perhaps someone else can give more
detailed instructions?

I have the same problem and it's proving a real bitch to get rid of. Every
time I search for anti-hijack software I pages of porn sites.

Damn "search" page - Every so often this "search page" appears when I open IE. I can't close it, and I have to do a Ctrl+Alt+Del to get rid of it. I've run a complete scan on the computer but no viruses appear. I don't think this thing is a threat, just a nuisan...
