Hi is it just coincidence or what. Just loaded this program i had
used before and after running a scan my inbox on Outlookx Express6 on
WinME has disappeared. I thought I jhad read where AVG puts the email
in its own folder. If not i have a program that recovers lost files in
outlook. thanks

True!
Anyway the whole scenario was strange as I sent test emails to myself
and the Outlook came up with the usual error of the Pop3 not being
recognized but at the samre time I then saw the AVG receiving the mail
and scanning it for viruses but no email.
I removed AVG and all my inbox returned.
But I will try Avast some other time as my wife is upset with me for
messing up her emails.
Never ever did find a virus incoming on this computer in several years
of internet use. Dial-up.....

Possible work-around, on a friend computer with Netscape 4.7 this weekend.
Sympton: Emails coming in but not displayed. He also has AVG running.
Workaround: Pick up search from the edit menu; select something appropriate
like date with a good range. Viola, inbox is now visable. On 4.7, search
in email can also be accessed by ctrl-shift-F. May or not be related, but
sounds suspicious.
