McAfee Framework

I am getting an error message when trying to update Mcafee saying I
need to restart McAfee Framework. When I stop/start the service it
says "Could not start the McAfee Framework Service service on Local
Computer. The service did not return an error. This could be an
internal WIndows error or an internal service error. If the problem
persists, contact your system administrator."

I tried uninstalling/reinstalling McAfee but I get the same error.
Anyone seen this?
