Post subject: F-Prot DOS Cammand Question
Archived from groups: alt>comp>anti-virus (more info?)

I have several Icons on my desktop that I run F-Prot DOS from to check my
E-mail and D/L folders.

I keep a copy of Eicar.com in the D/L folder to test that updates are
working properly.

Is there an F-Prot command that stops the program and asks me what I want
to do if it finds a virus?

I've read all the stuff that I have on F-Prot but I couldn't find an
answers for this.

TIA

It's in the f-prot startup screen under OPTIONS.
Select "list only infected files" and "beep when virus is found"
Then under SCAN select "action" select your choice of what to do when a virus is found

At the end of the scan you should be shown a list of all viruses found.
You should definitely see the Eicar test file.
