I seem to have two ifected PCs. Both running W2K. Both exhibit the same
symtom. A dialog comes up that shows a count down clock (usually 1
minute) and says System is shutting down. I have tried latest Norton
Ant-Virus 7.61.934 and McAfee AVERT Stinger Version 2.2.6 with latest
virus def files on both disks but have found nothing.

Please help. Please use ReplyALL so I get message sent to my primary
email as well. Thanks.

Thanks.

are you all patched and up to date? it sounds like an rpc or lsass
vulnerability was exploited on your machine... the lack of detection
could simply mean that while the vulnerability was exploited it wasn't
completely successful...
