hello all . . .

i'm stumped w/ this one. my IE browser 6.0 has been highjacked. i can't use
xp restore or ghost, nor can i uninstall/re-install IE. neither can i update
virus definitions or spyware definitions in other progs. i still have a
connection and can use other porgs such as outlook express. this is what i
captured at the bottom of the browser which continues to come up as: "The
page cannot be displayed" the following string very briefly appears at the
bottom of the page:

"opening page res:// C:\windows/system32/shdoclc.dll/dnserror.htm"

since i can't get my browser to work, i can't find out what this is. i can
still access news groups using OE. any help is greatly appreciated and
thanks in advance.
gunni

Use Remove-it version 14, it's fast and free. It now has over 5000

Hijackers, Trojans, Codec's, and related Malware/Spyware. New Feature,
Remove-it will now update your hosts file. This tool is designed to
Specifically remove all variants. Scan time is about 2-10 minutes. Designed
for Windows 2000/XP only. Password is still required.

It will block your ability to download some very reputable malware
fighting tools and is hosted on a PORNO website - do you really wan to
trust a PORNO site to have a fix for your PC?

Fight exposing kids to porn, complain about sites like pcbutts1 that
create filth and put it on the web for any kid to see: Just take a look
at some of the FILTH he's created and put on his website:
http://forums.speedguide.net/archive/index.php/t-223485.html all exposed
to children (the link I've include does not directly display his filth).
You can find the same information by googling for 'PCBUTTS1' and
'exposed to kids'.
