Dear friends:

I am looking for an additional, non resident and free Antivirus, in
order to have a "second opinion" on my computer.

Is it BitDefender free now? Where can I download it?

I searched on theirs Web site, but I couldn't find a link to download
the free version.

Any hint?

Thanks

If I install this free V8 of Bitdefender, will I be putting it into conflict
of my AVG free V7.5? [since it is an on-demand type]

No conflict that I am aware of.

BitDefender free version log file 115,000kb
[I made mistake of checking "show every file"]

AVG showed no "no threats found" [since 2/1]

Status panel to rt of scan log real time box:
TIME
Scan time: 10:28:39
Estimated time left 000
Scan speed [files/sec] 20

STATISTICS
Boot Sectors: 3
Files: 776647
Archives: 177190
Packed programs: 44191

RESULTS
Infected objects: 143
Suspect objects: 6
Warnings: 0
Disinfected: 0
Deleted: 1
Copied: 0
Moved: 0
Renamed: 0

Identified viruses: 12

No files found in Quarantine.
Only one file deleted.
12 ID'd
Do the math:
I could not read the 115mb log file on word or notetab. I don't want to
rescan to condense this.
Where did the 11 viruses go?
1st option set to disinfect, 2nd to quarantine.
What about the 143 infected objects?

Any comments?
Should I keep this off while AVG realtime scanning [email, resident] is
running?
Upon shutting down, 2 processes still running,
bdss.exe,
bdagent.exe
I could not shut off bdss.exe

115MB log ?

Delete it and re-scan the system.
