Archived from groups: alt>comp>anti-virus (more info?)

Hi,

I've still got a few months to run with my NAV 2004 subscription but it
seems to run very slowly (for example when trying to access its admin
functions) and I suspect it drains my already dragging PIII450 Win98SE
machine. Would AVG free or Avast free be less of a drain on resources
and, if so, are they as good as or better than NAV? Also, which is the
better package (AVG or Avast)?

Your help much appreciated

They are both less resource hungry than NAV, I use AVG but a lot
recommend Avast, take your pick.

Those are some of you options But have you thought about NOD32? At least
check
out the free demo and see what you think? read the reports on the software
and
then make a choice. I have Former AVG customers that now use nod because
they
were getting infected so often.
